Our Caregivers

Having a care team that truly has a passion for providing excellent care, not only the physical aspects, but also the emotional, and spiritual needs of an individual can vastly improve one’s quality of life.

Caregivers are matched with a client based upon detailed nursing assessment and input provided by you. Caregivers are trained to meet the level of care needed in addition to being a match for you or your loved one’s personality. We not only want to provide excellent care, but we also want to be a comforting presence who brings positivity to your day. Being able to enjoy the company of our caregivers is one way we aim to provide the most positive and least intrusive presence.

Our caregivers receive all required initial and ongoing training both in person and virtually through the CareAcademy platform. Staff will also receive additional training based upon the clients’ specific medical conditions and cases they are assigned. This will ensure that our caregivers are both knowledgeable and capable of observing and reporting any changes in condition so that interventions can be applied promptly thus promoting Aura’s prevention focused care delivery.

Aura also utilizes an electronic care documentation program in order to provide up to the minute communication, field support, care delivery, documentation, and notification.

“Additional support can provide the extra care needed to avoid a potential move to a skilled nursing facility, rehab, or rehospitalization.”

For Assisted Living Residents

As medical professionals having served in senior living administration, seeing the need for ancillary personalized one to one care was evident. The architecture of senior living communities is not set up to provide one to one care. At times, even temporarily post hospitalization or illness, assisted living communities cannot fully meet those needs in many cases. In those circumstances, communities rely on the support that 3rd party companies provide.

That gap is an area where we can work in partnership with communities to provide the best possible outcome for our clients. Additional support can provide the extra care needed to avoid a potential move to a skilled nursing facility, rehab, or rehospitalization.

When our clients reside in an ALF community, all manner of required documentation is provided accurately to the communities upon our team’s involvement. We are working in partnership with both the community and family to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients. That also includes keeping the communities we serve in compliance with DHEC regulations.
